As a small nonprofit institution, The Jehning Family Lock Museum of Mountain View relies upon the generous support of its members and volunteers. Your membership, donations, volunteering, and Gift Shop purchases go toward maintaining FREE admission, operating the Museum, and enhancing programs and projects at the Museum.

Donations

The Jehning Family Lock Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We accept donations of financial support and objects for our collection. These gifts are tax-deductible, and we provide all donors with receipts for their records. The Museum also accepts memorial contributions. You'll get advance notice and early admission to new exhibits, Museum events, and more, and you'll help support one of California's newest family attractions. Museum members receive a 15% discount on all Gift Shop purchases.

Volunteer

For those interested in an even more active association with The Jehning Family Lock Museum of Mountain View, volunteer opportunities abound. Our members and volunteers, along with Museum founders Audrey and Al Jehning, constitute a very close-knit and loyal community. We would love to have you join us. Training is provided, and schedules can be flexible.

The Museum is looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to be volunteer docents, cataloguers, or assistants.
Groups looking for single-day volunteer projects are especially welcome.
Some volunteer projects can be completed at home (e.g., computer database work) and schedules are flexible.
We will work with you to design a volunteer opportunity that meets your needs.
Museum membership is not required for volunteers.

Gift shop

The Jehning Lock Museum Gift Shop is stocked with artworks, jewelry, photography of collection items, lock-related toys and games for children, keyrings, stationery, and much more. The Gift Shop is located near the Museum entrance and is open whenever the Museum is open. Museum members receive a 15% discount on all Gift Shop purchases. Cash or checks only, please.
